San Diego's best-kept sushi

Azuki Sushi is an upscale sushi restaurant in San Diego. Departure was asked to create a site where the user can feel as though they're dining in the restaurant. We used their brand colors, took original photos and centered the information around the tangible menu to look like you just pulled up a chair.

Designing the Elements

We wanted to bring out all of the intricate details of the restaurant's unique architecture and interior design elements, so we dined in (A LOT) and observed our surroundings. Azuki Sushi is modern, clean and well-kept, yet had a rustic, deep feeling towards the Japanese heritage. We took some pictures, jotted some notes, then went back to the drawing board and created elements to mimic those details.

Designing the Website

We wanted the website to be a digital version of the dining experience. We compiled all the elements, mapped out where everything needed to go, and built a custom, responsive experience where users could easily view the locations and menus and order online in just a few clicks.
